In fact this is a great time to get outside as it’s a magical time of year. There are beautiful crisp, frosty mornings and there are thrushes and other birds more visible, feeding on berries and bugs amongst the bare trees. Every Tuesday, parents and guardians of children under 2 can take part in a ‘Natural Babies’ session. This involves a buggy walk with points of interest on the way. There are plenty of sheltered places including a roundhouse, bird hide and education centre to warm up and have a go at natural crafts. There is time for sensory play, songs and stories in these spaces too, or outside when warm enough. Every Monday, children aged 2 to 5 years can take part in a Forest School programme with their parent or guardian. During a 6 week programme, children are shown how to use fire strikers to make sparks, Campfire cooking at Testwood Lakes Continued on page 5
