Honeypot, which is based in The New Forest is mainly for local children from Hythe, Totton, Romsey and Eastleigh, as well as surrounding areas, however, some children come from further afield. They give young carers a break from demanding and stressful responsibilities at home and provide a safe, nurturing environment where children who are carers, or who might be in vulnerable situations, can take that all important time out to just be kids for a while. They also support over a thousand children a year and have the capacity for twelve children between the ages of 5 and 12 to attend a four day respite holiday at a time, with each group having four carers looking after them. Honeypot is a registered charity that has absolutely no government funding, to continue the wonderful work they do, the charity needs to receive £1.4 million a year, so relies heavily on donations from fundraising and corporate sponsorship. All funds raised go to Honeypot to ensure the children receive the best possible ongoing support. Bumble the Bee with some visiting children
