Seven hundred shoeboxes have again been collected making a grand total of some three thousand four hundred over the five years; this represents, as estimated by the Rotary Club, a massive cumulative donation of £32,000 by a very generous New Forest and Totton community. The Honeypot Children’s Charity provides support throughout the UK and here in the New Forest to some very vulnerable children and young carers aged 5-12 years, most have a seriously ill or disabled parent to look after. Clare Holloway, the Honeypot Children’s Service Manager, responded: “We cannot thank New Forest Rotary Club and all the local schools and Brockenhurst College enough for their incredible donations again this year. When we give a shoebox full of goodies to one of our Honeypot Continued on page 4 Some of this year’s collection being presented to Honeypot children by David Matcham from the Rotary Club
