They work in 4 local Primary schools and 3 Secondary schools. The project helps vulnerable children who are worried about going to ‘big school’ to make the successful transition to secondary schools, and has been a great success over the years. Their schools workers, Kerry, Angela and Charlotte, have been joined this term by a new trainee, Emily. Sadly Angela, their long term and very experienced schools worker, has left this summer to move onto pastures new. They would like to wish her every success in her new home. Angela will be very much missed by the children and the schools she worked with, and by everyone at Families Matter, but her good work will be continued by Kerry and Emily. All of their OTRT children have settled well at their new schools this September, and they look forward to continuing the project with a new group of children this Autumn.
