On a very warm Monday evening in May, 25 runners completed their ‘Couch to 5k’ Hardley Runners Beginners course with a 5km (3.1 miles) forest trail route through Dibden Enclosure. e event was supported by nearly 30 Hardley Runners members, coaches and run leaders, some running in support, so everyone had company, and others marshalling the route. Over 10 weeks the 2 groups based at Dibden and Gang Warily, have been meeting every Monday to follow the course, which is suitable for all abilities, nishing with the 5km run. Each runner was awarded a medal to commemorate their achievement and they all headed o for a celebratory drink in e Heath a erwards! Hardley Runners run their free 10 week Beginners course every spring. e members train twice a week, organise weekly social runs and compete in Hampshire Leagues, so there is something for everyone. e club also organises the annual Solent Half Marathon which takes place, this year, on Sunday 1st October.
