Experience the best views of the New Forest National Park from the top deck of the New Forest Tour. From Saturday 1st July to Sunday 17th September, Morebus and Bluestar - in partnership with the New Forest Park Authority (NFNPA) - are resuming the Open-top Tour Bus for 2023. It is a popular and much-anticipated day out among visitors, and those who are lucky enough to live in and around the beautiful National Park. All three routes are available through one ticket, with the exibility to hop on/o at any point to access discounts at attractions and places of interest along the way, or maybe explore the tranquil surrounds on foot using the walking app available on the NFNPA website > ings to do > Walking. An audio commentary tells the story of the history and special qualities of the landscape, and the people who live and work in it. Accessing the Tour is easy. Hythe Ferry remains free of charge for those travelling from Southampton when you buy a combination ferry/Tour ticket at Town Quay. Connecting service buses are free too when customers request a Tour ticket from their bus driver. Bikes also travel free! e Tour routes knit well with the gravel cycling network. is is a great opportunity to leave the car at home and immerse in the delights of the New Forest National Park while letting someone else contend with the driving! Tickets can be purchased directly from the driver on the day of travel, from Heritage Centre Lyndhurst, holiday parks and in advance via the Tour website. Multi-day tickets are great value and remove the pressure of seeing everything in one day. For NFDC residents, special discounted tickets are available from the Morebus app, following a veri cation process. It is hoped that NFDC information o ces will be able to assist customers with the veri cation process. For example, a season concession ticket costs £180 and allows unlimited travel for 79 days! Local artists will be showcasing their work as part of Hampshire Open Studios 19th to 28th August including exhibitions in Hythe and Dibden Community Centre and on Hythe Pier. New Forest Makers Market will be in St John’s Hall on Saturday 19th August with a large range of talented and creative local makers selling their incredible handmade products. Hythe is also playing host to one of 25 giant Fairy Doors that are springing up around the New Forest and Furzey Gardens for their new Artists Fairy Door Trail running until 3rd September.
