Busy End to July for Steamship Shieldhall Southampton’s heritage steamship SS Shieldhall has a packed end of July itinerary, with a variety of sailings on o er. Yacht racing enthusiasts and photographers will enjoy the spectacle of the Fastnet Race, taking place on Saturday 22nd July, with a Shieldhall cruise departing Berth 110 in Southampton’s Western Docks at 9.30am and returning at 4pm. On Sunday 23rd July Shieldhall stages one of its popular a ernoon ‘Steam to the Solent’ cruises between 2.30pm and 6pm, promising to be in the very best position to see the outgoing cruise ships Arvia, Queen Victoria and Navigator of the Seas journey down Southampton Water. e second of Shieldhall’s 2023 Friday evening cruises takes place on Friday 28th July between 6.30pm and 9.30pm – enjoy a relaxed end to the week on Southampton Water and watch as the sun lowers in the sky over the New Forest. It’s a great time to be out on the water! Shieldhall’s July sailings then conclude with a Saturday 29th July trip to watch the racing at Cowes Week (10am to 2pm), followed by an all-day Sunday 30th July sailing (10.30am to 6pm) to e Needles, passing Hurst Castle and the New Forest Coast.
