A daily schedule of farming activities includes kid goat and calf bottle-feeding, duck feeding, and meeting small animals such as baby chicks and guinea pigs in the brilliant Animal Encounter Barn. ere are lots of other friendly animals to see around the farm including cows, alpacas, Pygmy goats, donkeys and ponies, pigs, ducks, chickens and geese, plus lots of babies, large and small. e newly improved all-inclusive outdoor play area o ers playtime fun for all visitors. It is surrounded by an accessible path and features a wheelchair swing for all ages, and interactive playboards. Other additions include a zip wire, play tractors, and swings. Old favourites, including the trampolines and climbing frame, have been spruced up ready for a summer of fun. e Piglets Play Barn provides shelter from sun or rain and is tted with numerous interactive activities and piggy-themed fun from oor to ceiling, which will have your children squealing with delight. ere are plenty Shop has a large range of delicious locally sourced produce, and the Chicken Shack is stocked with plenty of poultry feed and equipment. ere is no charge to visit the Farm Shop, which is open to visitors and non-visitors of the Activity Farm. Open daily – 10am to 5pm. *Small extra charge. Summer Fun at Furzey Gardens Join Furzey Gardens for a summer of theatre, owers and fairy doors. Deep in the National Park, o the beaten track, is nestled the New Forest’s secret garden with a cosy thatched tea room, rare and unusual plants and over 40 tiny fairy doors. ere is something for everyone in this special place. Visit this summer to see the stunning cottage garden owers and beautiful herbaceous borders. As you explore, discover 25 four-foot fairy doors decorated by local artists on the Artists Fairy Door Trail – running this summer only. From 5th August you can enjoy lazy summer evenings watching quality outdoor theatre in the gardens as the West End actors of London Touring Players return to the gardens a er two sell out years. Shakespeare’s Twel h Night is a comic tale of mayhem, misrule and mistaken identity. You can expect live music and sizzling tunes for a great evening of family entertainment. Rated 4.9 out of 5 by last year’s audiences, this promises to be a hilarious night of open air comedy. Set against the backdrop of the beautiful cottage garden, this is the most peaceful and scenic setting for an evening of theatre that you can imagine. The Longdown Farm Beaulieu Village Fete is taking place on Saturday 15th July, opening at 1.30pm. e theme for this year is ‘100 Years of Disney’, enter into the spirit of things and go along dressed as your favourite character - there will be prizes for the best out ts! is is a traditional fete with something for all ages! e fete is set in the stunning grounds of Palace House at Beaulieu, at the kind invitation of Lord and Lady Montagu, with all net proceeds going to local good causes.
