A year went by and as the pandemic subsided, Ron took a course in oven cleaning and marketing and set up RVA Professional Oven Cleaning. He now has over two years’ experience, in a task that house owners hate the most! So, if you own a Ne Hide and slide to an AGA 4 or an Everhot, in fact any oven at all, Ron has the experience and Nursling & Rownhams Community Band at Rownhams St John’s Primary School Fair e Nursling & Rownhams Community Band were out in force on Saturday 1st July, playing at the Rownhams St John’s Primary School Summer Fair. ey played for an hour from the start of the fair, despite the strong gusts of wind that tried to remove their music! e following pieces were played, starting with an ABBA medley, Danny Boy, Liberty Bell, Amazing Grace, Queen in Concert, Sweet Caroline, Pie Jesu, Dambusters March, Oom-pah-pah and they nished with e Great Escape. During June some of the band entertained residents at the Woodlands Ridge Nursing Home near Ashurst on two a ernoons, playing some of their repertoire as well as a number of duets between di erent band members. e band welcomes new members and encourages players of all abilities (no auditions) to join, to rehearse and play a miscellany of pop medleys, light classics, show tunes and seasonal music.
