Two fundraising events will be held over the weekend plus TicketSource booking fee. Or for just £72 per adult, you can enjoy both events! All proceeds will go to funding the work that força does to support families a ected by cancer in Hampshire and Dorset. Realising they could help more local people similarly a ected, the charity was born. Run by a team of volunteers, força - strength against cancer is a UK-registered charity based in Lymington that is dedicated to raising funds to provide help for local people receiving cancer treatment, and to raise awareness of how lifestyle and diet can help and support those living with cancer. Strength… by força provides practical help for individuals experiencing di culties living with cancer, such as contributions to childcare costs, cleaning and items that ease living with cancer. Since 2016 the Nourish… by força project has funded the provision of healthy, nutritious meals for people undergoing cancer treatment (and their families) at Lymington New Forest Hospital and at Oakhaven’s Day Hospice. is practical support means that patients don’t need to think about cooking or what to eat when they are having treatment. And since 2019 the Support… by força project has funded and supplied supportive compression bras to those who have undergone breast surgery related to a cancer diagnosis at two local hospitals, with over 450 bras provided to date. e charity has a number of new initiatives in the pipeline and is keen to hear from local businesses looking for sponsorship opportunities. Saturday’s evening spectacular of Opera and Operettas will be performed by four of the UK’s most talented and Internationally renowned Opera singers, led by Lymington’s own Colin Judson. On Sunday a ernoon, the brilliant Jazz singer, Barb Jungr, and her trio will treat the audience to a performance of their widely acclaimed ‘My Marquee’ album, which takes classic songs from bands and songwriters who performed at the legendary Soho venue e Marquee, including music by e Who, Tra c, e Yardbirds and many more. ese two unique open-air performances will take place in the most stunning of settings in the private garden of King shers in Normandy Lane. Take chairs and rugs, relax and enjoy a picnic on the lawn with picturesque views of the Lymington-Keyhaven Nature Reserve and Solent shore across to the Isle of Wight. Picnics will be available to pre-order or you can take your own and there will be a well-stocked bar. e garden will be opened in advance of the performances to allow ticketholders time to relax and enjoy their picnics on the lawn.
