In addition, there will be the opportunity to buy from their collection of books not relevant to the Waterside – at prices ranging from 10p upwards. No sensible o er will be refused! Tea and co ee, biscuits and cake will be available at no cost (although donations would never be refused). You will have the chance to look into the history of your own family or house and see the work that their volunteers have done and are doing to preserve the archive. At the same time, they shall be open to suggestions about how they can improve what they do and how they do it. At present, they are trying to be open on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 10am until 12noon but this depends very much on the availability of volunteers. Waterside Heritage has been very lucky in attracting volunteers so far and they have done a wonderful job, but there is always more to do. In addition they are in need of new members. Membership costs £12 a year; members receive 4 newsletters each year and will have access to the online archive once the website goes live. Lions Donate to Solent Dolphin Romsey and Waterside Lions have given £750 to the Solent Dolphin Charity in Hythe which runs boat trips on the Solent from Hythe Marina to give passengers All are welcome to go along to Jubilee Hall in Fawley on Fridays, 10am to 12noon, for the Waterside Foodbank’s weekly drop-in. Free hot drinks, friendly faces and a chance to chat. Plus a Citizens Advice Bureau advisor along with other agencies will be available to chat. with disabilities free 2-hour trips up and down the estuary. The M/V Alison MacGregor is a purposebuilt catamaran for 12 passengers including carers. It has a ramp access and so is accessible for wheelchair users and those with walking di culties. The Solent Dolphin Charity is run entirely by volunteers, and the boat is operated and crewed by experienced mariners who freely give their time to help entertain others who are less fortunate than themselves.
