During the national walk to school week in May, local hero, Lollipop Lady Jeanette Brannigan marked 20 years of service, helping the children from Orchard Infant, Orchard Junior and Noadswood schools to cross Challenger Way in Dibden Purlieu, safely on their way to and from school. As part of the cribbage trophy presentation, Chairman of the Waterside Cribbage League, Melvin Orchard, presented a cheque for £600 to the 4th Hythe Sea Scouts. 11 representatives of the 4th Sea Scouts Hythe attended the presentation night to receive the cheque; they said: “A big thank you to the Waterside Crib League for their donation. The Project would use advanced treatment techniques to turn highly treated wastewater that is usually pumped far out to sea, into puri ed recycled water at a new water recycling plant in Havant. is puri ed recycled water would be pumped via an underground pipeline to the Havant icket Reservoir where it would mix with spring water. Water from the reservoir would then be pumped along another pipeline to their Otterbourne Water Supply Works where it would be treated to strict drinking water standards before being sent into supply.
