Rotarians and their guests had the pleasure of the company of the PCF’s founder and CEO, Jane Walker, who gave a very thought provoking insight into the work they do in the Philippines. is includes giving the priceless gi of education, providing livelihoods with reliable sustainable incomes, saving lives and providing nutritious food. Jane, who is a member of Hedge End Rotary, also brought along a display of all the wonderful items that adults in the country are trained to make from a range of recycled materials which were available for purchase. Hythe & Waterside Rotary President said: “To hear first hand about the work of this amazing charity from the person who founded it, certainly made us realise that they need our support more than ever. Our members were very keen to buy some of the items on display too!”. More details can be found at: www.pc-f.org Hythe & Waterside Rotary President Jim Whitehouse with PCF CEO Jane Walker Another Successful Concert at All Saints Church, Fawley by Dawn Palmby Saturday 1st June saw the return of the Beaulieu Warblers to All Saints Church in Fawley. It was an enjoyable evening, and well attended. e Beaulieu Warblers entertained us with a very mixed bag of music ranging from traditional folk songs, music from operas, Beatles and Abba songs! e concert raised £556 towards church funds. Alison Bennett, Rector of All Saints and her committee of organisers would like to thank the Beaulieu Warblers, everyone who attended and all the people who helped “behind the scenes”. Particular thanks go to Aldred Drummond and the Cadland Estate for their sponsorship. Many thanks to the following local businesses who donated ra e prizes: Wendys Café in Black eld, e Store in Black eld, Sam Long fruit and vegetables, Tesco, Fairweather’s Garden Centre in Beaulieu and also members of the church who donated ra e prizes. We look forward to welcoming you to our Christmas concert which will be held on Saturday 30th November.
