National Open Gardens Scheme 2023 Every year the National Garden Scheme (NGS) gives visitors unique National Garden Scheme Booklets OUT AND ABOUT WITH THE RSPB e New Forest local group of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds programme of indoor meetings and eld trips resumes in September. Monthly meetings are held at 7.30pm on the second Wednesday of the month at Lyndhurst Community Centre, central car park, High Street, Lyndhurst SO43 7NY. A varied programme forest and coastal eld trips are planned on various weekend and weekday dates/ times. MUSIC MAKING AND SHARING Music Making and Sharing takes place on the 3rd Saturday of the month (15th July) from 2pm to 5pm at Calmore Village Hall, Pauletts Lane, Calmore SO40 2RS. e cost is just £5 payable at the door. e group welcome and encourage you to share and listen to people’s musical enthusiasm – the instrument of their choice and the genre they like. All levels of ability welcome from professionals to beginners. Anybody can join who would like to play/sing a couple of pieces to non-judgemental fellow musicians. Perhaps you compose your own music. ey would love to hear it. eir meetings start with a brief musical warm-up and then they take turns in playing and listening to each other. ere is solo and duet or small group playing of pieces people have practiced and want others to hear. ey share their passion with perfected pieces and/or pieces in progress. eir space is open for experimentation, risk taking and appreciation. ey welcome adults, young people from age 16 years and supervised children.
