It’s this incredible support which emphasises Barratt’s dedication to sustainability. e housebuilder is determined to be the leading national sustainable housebuilder and ensures its Building Sustainably Framework is deeply rooted in every business decision and day-to-day action it takes. At Barratt Homes sustainability is a top priority and we’re delighted to offer our support where we can.” Both the South Coast Property Awards and the Hampshire Business Awards are organised by the Business Magazine, and Barratt will be sponsoring one of the award categories at each event. e South Coast Property Awards’ ‘Sustainable Development Project’ prize will go to a ‘green building’ in the region and will be awarded to a property which promotes energy e ciency, reduces greenhouse gas emissions, and minimises the environmental impact. e Hampshire Business Awards’ ‘Sustainable Green Investment Award’ recognises businesses that have demonstrated a strong commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility through their investment strategies. e Big Sustainability Awards are organised by the Southern Sustainability Partnership, and, bringing together hundreds of professionals across the UK, will be rewarding the best sustainable practice in a commercial setting. For the second year running, Barratt Homes has signed up as Ambassador. James added: “We are looking forward to winners being announced at each ceremony later in the year.” is year’s South Coast Property Awards took place on Thursday 6th June at the Hilton Southampton, Utilita Bowl; the Big Sustainability Awards is on 26th September at the Leonardo Hotel, Southampton; and the Hampshire Business Awards is on Thursday 21st November at Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre.
