On Thursday 7th September Praizin’ Hands Puppet group will be holding a Taster evening for young people in school years 7 to 13 (ages 11 to 18) who are interested in learning Puppetry as a new skill and joining other like-minded young people in the ‘Little Hands’ Puppet team. e evening will include having ‘a go’ with a puppet and learning some basic puppetry skills as well as playing some games and meeting the current, very friendly team. e Little Hands team meet on alternate ursdays in Black eld and perform at various places such as Community Fun Days and in Church services throughout the year. Alongside their evenings of puppetry and games/activities, they have regular trips out. Praizin’ Hands Puppet Group is a local charity, based on the Waterside. Being a puppeteer is ideal for people who tend to be a bit shy as it is an ideal way of expressing yourself but with the safety of being hidden behind the puppet stage! No experience is needed as full training will be given. Activities include arts, cra s and sports and they also supply a free healthy lunch. Under 10’s must be accompanied by an adult; the whole family are welcome to join in. e week of 24th July is themed ‘By the sea’, 31st July is ‘Bug week’, 7th August is ‘Animals week’, 14th August is ‘Nature week’ and 21st August is Mindfulness week. e following sessions will take place each week: • Mondays, 11.30am to 1.30pm at Marchwood Youth Club. • Tuesdays, 11.30am to 1.30pm at Hythe Youth Club (Except 15th August will be a nature visit). • Wednesdays, 11.30am to 1.30pm at Marchwood Youth Club and St Anne’s Netley View, 2pm to 4pm in local parks (No session at St Anne’s on 2nd August). • Thursdays, 11.30am to 1.30pm at Hythe Youth Club (Except Thursday 24th August – trip tbc).
