She is volunteering to bring more colour and interest to the Ferry garden, and along with Ashleigh Mutimear and the men at Christine Bennett the Ferry they are transforming the garden. ey hope to enter this year’s Hythe in Bloom competition. Christine has been busy fundraising and holding plant sales. She has been busy working hard in the garden to make it a pleasure for all the Ferry users and the general public. It will be an asset to the village of Hythe. e Hythe Men’s shed are making some planters for the garden out of some pallets sourced by Christine. If you would like to make a donation to the Hythe Ferry garden, please hand in any donations to the Ferry o ce. Flower Arranging at the New Forest Show is year’s Flower arranging competition schedule at the New Forest & Hampshire County Show sees the introduction of some exciting new classes, when the Show returns later this year from 30th July to 1st August. Alongside some of the favourites, such as the Club Class and Novice Class, there are now classes that can be designed at home and brought into the show in their completed form on setup day. ey are table based designs, a petit and a Pave design plus a new class in the form of a hanging garland design. Another new class is ‘Steam Punk’ requiring the use of accessories along with the oral aspects to be incorporated in the creation. is show attracts many award winning oral designers, and also new competitors. ere is a class to suit all levels of expertise and creative talent. All are welcome to enter, and a warm and supportive atmosphere will await you on the fun lled setup day.
