The Pilates with Soph Studio Afraid of Being the Centre of Attention? by Alan Jones, Registered Hypnotherapist Many people shy away from the limelight, the thought of being asked a question in class, or to make a speech can send them running for the shadows. It is great if you are always happy being the life and soul of the party, but if that is not you, and there is nowhere to melt into the background, then acting against your natural character to disguise how you feel can o en lead to the wrong choice of behaviour. Being loud, over the top, or needing several drinks to overcome shyness and inhibitions, will leave you feeling out of place and create more self-doubt. Hypnotherapy can help you discover how to cope and remain true to yourself, learning e ective techniques that ensure you are con dent and relaxed when the spotlight falls on you.
