Plus, NEW for 2024 is the Sound-o , bringing together a selection of Japanese cars showcasing the sound of their powerful engines, with the winner being awarded a trophy. Every Simply rally o ers event-goers the chance to vote for their favourite car of the show in the People’s Choice Award, with the winner receiving an exciting prize which this year will be supplied by NEW event partner Spit re Collection. Voting closes at 1pm and the presentation will take place at 2pm. All visitors and participants will also be able to access the whole of the Beaulieu attraction as part of their ticket, including e National Motor Museum, World of Top Gear, Palace House, the medieval Beaulieu Abbey and beautiful grounds and gardens, and the adventure playground Little Beaulieu. Simply Jaguar Simply Land Rover Adding a countryside feel to the rally line-up, Simply Land Rover returns to Beaulieu on Sunday 7th July and brings with it the opportunity to witness some truly impressive 4X4’s. Always a thrilling feature and back by popular demand is the Forest Drive in partnership with Land Rover Experience West Country in which visitors will be able to get their wheels dirty on an o -road track, with the option to drive or be a passenger in a Land Rover Experience vehicle. Rescheduled and rolling into Beaulieu on Sunday 14th July is Simply Audi. Whether the classic 1938 DKW or the remarkable R8 supercar, owners of all models are invited to be a part of this event. From Germany to Italy! Simply Italian will take place on Saturday 20th July and is joined by NEW sponsors Hendy Fiat Poole and Hendy Abarth Poole. Here, showgoers can observe everything from everyday Fiats to highperformance Ferraris. is lively event certainly isn’t one to be missed. LIONS BOOKSTALL The Ampfield Market Romsey Lions hold their regular book stalls in e Cornmarket, Romsey. eir next book sales will be on Saturday 6th July and Saturday 10th August from 9am to 3pm. ey welcome donations of good quality paperbacks for the stall and also gi s for their bric-a-brac section. Donations can be taken along to the stall on the day of the sales or alternatively you can call 0344 963 2463 to arrange for a collection to be made. Lions are both men and women, and there are no age restrictions to membership other than you must be over 18. ey are approachable people from many walks of life, and they enjoy an active social life. A few hours a month are all it takes to help others less fortunate in the community. Matt’s Bakery in Chandlers Ford supplies their bread each month. e Market generates almost £2,000 a year towards Village Hall funds. e Market team generously volunteer their time and baking skills to provide a delicious seasonal selection of cakes every month, which are served with co ee throughout the morning. e next Amp eld Market will take place on Saturday 6th July between 10am and 12noon.
